I've finished the border now, and I'm starting to do the gold lines. I have one missed stitch to do and I'll be finished.
Starting Tuesday, a significant amount of my time will be toward the EGA Regional Meeting, which starts with Region Day on Wednesday. I'm going to pick up 3 teachers at the airport on Tuesday and then go help get prepared-- like helping put out all the things for sale in the boutique or stuffing the goody bags, or whatever. Once I get there, I'm sure there will be something for everyone to do.
We had our last committee meeting yesterday and everything seems to be in order.
I'll be staying at the hotel on Wednesday and Saturday nights -- I think I'll likely come home the other nights. We'll see. Wednesday night there is a joint meeting between this year's committee and next year's committee for an idea exchange. Saturday night is the banquet, so there's no point in driving home so late, when I need to be back at 8:30am.
There are 20 or so classes and some well known teachers - Carole Lake, Dorothy Lesher, Tony Minieri, John Waddell. I understand that this EGA Regional seminar is the best attended one in the country with 250 participants, and I think I'm remembering correctly that is the first time this region (anyway) is 4 full days. There are several 4-day classes, Carole Lake's St. Basil's Cathedral and Tony Minieri's Tagasode, to name a couple.
Next year's Regional Meeting is in Dallas -- the theme is UFOs -- all about bringing an unfinished project and finishing it with help at the meeting. Some teachers are helping only with prior classes they've taught, which seems interesting.
I'll have my computer with me at the meeting since I'm the treasurer -- so maybe I'll have time to post a couple of times while there.
Later. Happy Stitching.
