I really dislike having more than 2 projects going at the same time. The ideal situation for me is one big canvas, and one little canvas - the big one stays home and the little one can travel with me.
Lately, I've not been following my own advice, and I have several canvases going at the same time, and will be starting 2 more this summer in classes with Tony Minieri.
I picked this canvas up from Colleen at The Needleworks last week - it's a Melissa Shirley canvas and it came with a stitch guide. Colleen astutely realized I wouldn't want to work with rayon floss (I hate the stuff) so she modified the thread selection to keep me sane!!
I started on the background stitch, which I like very much. It's stitched in Vineyard Silks - the color is tomato.
I've put this away for a few days, though. The Mary canvas is so close to being finished that I decided to get her out and finish her up. I'm real close. I'll show her to you in the next day or so.
Happy Stitching.
Jane
