Mark and I went to Barbados with our neighbors for Thanksgiving week (we got back on Friday night after Turkey Day) and as always, I needed to take something with me to work on while we were away. The truth is that I only stitched on the way there and back - not one stitch happened while we were on the island.
It was beautiful - we had great food - lots of laughs with our friends. Very relaxing vacation!!
I decided to start at the top of the canvas and just start working down - I got the sky, the trees, and the fence done - and have done some of the field behind the fence. Really like this canvas - although thinking about doing the gloves (in appliqued ultrasuede) scares me a bit. And remember what Tony said to do for the rope?
AREA 7. ROPE
Take some rawhide from a whip, roll it into a circle and attach to canvas.
I'm quaking over that one, too.
Happy stitching.
Jane
P.S. Just so you know, I'm aware of the holes in her face. I will go back over it with one strand of floss to fill them up.
